Battledroids

The Introductory version of Battletech was initially called "Battledroids". This soon changed after George Lucas of Star Wars fame trademarked the term "droid". Battletech was born. But prior to the name change, the inital run of miniatures were indeed called "Battledroids", and were advertised as such on the packaging.

These original mechs are now very difficult to come by. Many of the rarer sculpts can go for hundreds of dollars each (US Currency) on EBay. These sculpts include the Behemoth, Griffen, Oval based Marauder, and Shadow Hawk.

The original Battledroids line consisted of 22 mechs and 5 vehicles. The entire Battledroid line has been aquired by Mike Wellum and custom painted by Joel "Psycho" Hardwick.
